Accounting Clerk

Accounts Receivable Specialists:
Denver Intermodal Express, Inc. is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk, who’s focus and responsibility is assisting the A/P Department, assisting the A/R Department, reconciliation of bank statements, insurance auditing, and prepare and process check requests, as well as any special projects that arise. 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3-5 years minimum experience working in accounting.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated, organized, responsible, team player.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Understanding of QuickBooks.
  • Ability to learn the business quickly and work with the people in the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Email all applications to the payroll company.  Multiple forms management.
  • Prepare all the data for payroll, timekeeping reports, data entry.  Problem resolution with employee’s payroll issues.  Distribute benefit materials.  Coordinate projects/meetings with the payroll company. Enter the payroll data into GL.   
  • Input vendor set-up information into software for new vendors and drivers.
  • Data entry, statement reconciliations, dispute resolution.  Checklist of monthly recurring bills. 
  • Process vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and make appropriate entries into the GL. 
  • Several GL account reconciliations, employee loans, prepaids, deposits etc.
  • Prepare liability insurance audits and forecasts. Reconciliation at year-end.
  • Year-end compilation of data to supply to CPA for tax prep.
  • Process check requests from multiple departments and cut checks.
  • Prepare 1099’s annually for all sub-contractors.  
  • Special projects. Filing and archive records management. 
  • Assist with Accounts Receivables and collections.
