Job Description:

DIX is currently seeking a motivated and physically capable individual to join our team as a Container Yard Admin / Yard Inspector. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the daily operations of our yard, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of shipping containers. You will work in all weather conditions, tracking and inspecting containers while adhering to DOT regulations for chassis inspections, including tires, airlines, brakes, and lights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate container lift equipment and assist with inspections to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
  • Document and report any flaws or damages to the respective owners for necessary repairs.
  • Load and unload equipment for DIX and other intermodal trucking companies involved in import/export operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all equipment and provide reports to customers and truckers regarding equipment condition and availability.
  • Perform office tasks such as updating equipment information, managing customer accounts, and handling billing at the end of each month.
  • Answer phone calls and emails from shippers, customers, and drivers regarding equipment repairs, road issues, and other miscellaneous problems.

Requirements:

 

  • Familiarity with DOT regulations for chassis inspections, including knowledge of tires, airlines, brakes, and lights.
  • Experience operating yard hostlers and forklifts is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, truckers, and team members.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Denver Intermodal Express is expanding its regional department due to high customer demand. We are seeking to add several dedicated and dependable owner operators to our fleet. We offer competitive pay and operate in a positive work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking CDL-A Truck Drivers with apportioned plates to join our team. Must have knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier DOT regulations, capable of completing all paperwork including vehicle inspection reports, and daily driver logs. Stay around the Midwest and Mountain Region.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assure that paperwork such as timesheets, and records of loads hauled/transferred are completed accurately.
  • Have a dedicated and dependable work ethic
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Class “A" Commercial Driver’s License.
  • TWIC Card and Hazmat Endorsement are preferred.
  • Must have Class “A” driving experience.
  • Must have an acceptable MVR based on our company insurance carrier standards.
  • Company paid Apportioned Plate program.
  • Must be able to pass required background checks as well as a pre-employment drug screening.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking to hire a CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team. He or she must have knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier DOT regulations, be able to complete all paperwork including tickets, vehicle inspection reports, and driver’s daily logs. This position has the potential for driving in harsh climates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safely operate the truck to haul loads from various locations.
  • Assure that paperwork such as timesheets, and records of loads hauled/transferred are completed accurately and forwarded to supervisor daily.
  • All drivers are required to follow all FMCSA Regulations
  • Dedicated and dependable work ethic
  • Main entail other duties as required by supervisor
  • Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Class “A" Commercial Driver’s License.
  • 3 years of Class “A” driving experience preferred.
  • Must have an acceptable MVR based on our company insurance carrier standards.
  • Must be able to pass required background checks as well as a pre-employment drug screening.
