Dock Worker / Forklift Operator

- Fulltime We are currently looking for a Dock Worker to join our Family Culture. Our Dock Workers successfully load and unload freight throughout the shift using a forklift or manually in a safe, efficient manner. Will perform work associated with warehousing, material handling, and other related duties as assigned. Dock Workers are critical members of our Family; they help to accurately deliver our customer's freight and help keep our promises.

Responsibilities for Warehouse Worker

Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually.
Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the warehouse in a forklift and or pallet jack
Read and interpret shipping labels, shipping orders, manifests, freight bills.
Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
Reliably retrieve items from within the warehouse to be processed and shipped

Qualifications for Warehouse Worker

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy
Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining and organized warehouse
Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
Customer service mentality is beneficial to ensure a positive customer experience by shipping items to a high standard.

Pay
$17.00-$21.00
